Sourcer 基本上需對其所負責的採購產品有一定程度的專業知識與經驗，也需要具備相關的商業交易知識與法律常識，以便在 開發新廠商 時，能夠對零件與材料規格作初步的確認，進而議定價格與交易條件，然後簽訂合約。 因為Sourcer 接觸與牽涉的層面較廣， 對外包含對產業、供應市場與廠商的瞭解，對內包含研發、技術、產品、行銷、業務各部門的溝通 。所以Sourcer 的人才較難培養，也需要一定的養成時間，才能勝任對Sourcer 工作的要求。
對Buyer 的要求，則主要在 配合生產的排程 ， 下單並確保供應商準時與適量的交貨，與控制適當的庫存水位 。 供應商例行交貨的品質、付 款問題與供應商關係管理 ，一般也都由Buyer單位來負責。對於供應商有重大問題需做決策時，如供應商績效（品質、交期）不好時，需決定是否繼續交易時，則需要Sourcer 與Buyer 的共同主管來決定，以免單方面的決定，忽略了另一單位的需求與風險。
Sourcer 與Buyer 也會有意見不同的地方，有時Buyer 會認為Sourcer 所開發的供應商不好， 不夠專業， 或配合不好。Sourcer 也會認為當初開發的供應廠商，因為Buyer 的溝通不良或處理不當，造成供應商配合意願降低或表現不好，才是造成供應商不願配合或表現不好的主因。B u y e r 反而怪罪Sourcer ，因此造成雙方的誤解與關係緊張。在分工的過程中，許多公司會產生員工的反彈，而主要是發生在被歸屬到Buyer 單位的人員。追究其原因，不外乎從以往一條鞭式的採購管理中，將對供應商的開發與決定權分到Sourcer 單位， Buyer 卻只負責訂單發放、交期管理等的日常工作，從而產生一種失落感。猶
其實， Sourcer 與Buyer 都是採購或供應鏈(Supply Chain)部門的重要單位，任何一個小螺絲釘都有它獨特的功能，任何一個沒有發生作用，整個採購供應體系的運作，就會出問題，分工後產生的錯誤認知，需要從組織結構與升
Sourcer 單位與Buyer 單位，基本上也應該定期召開雙邊會議，以便交換資訊與經驗，相互瞭解新開發供應商與現有供應商的狀況與表現。這兩個職能如果能共同努力，充分協調，做好供應商關係管理(SRM, Suppler Relation Management)，公司方能在採購與供應管理上獲得最大的利益。

Hey, Hey man, or Hi
“hey” 和 “hi”都是年轻人喜欢用的打招呼方式，区别是“hi”可以用于和任何人任何非正式场合，而“hey”往往用于熟人或已经相识的人之间。
How’s it going? or How are you doing?
这两种其实是“how are you”的非正式说法，如果不是想要表达得很有礼貌，可以用这两句话来问候任何一个人。外国人一般会把“going”读作“go-in”。如果有人用这两句话来和你打招呼，我们可以顺着回答“it’s going well”或是“I’m doing well”，或者像外国人那样直接说一句“good”，回答完也可以加一句“and you？”来寒暄。
