历史上第一位获得诺贝尔经济学奖的心理学家，行为经济学的鼻祖，美国普林斯顿大学教授丹尼尔·卡内曼的代表作《思考，快与慢》，彻底颠覆了来福对思维运行的模式以及日常各类决策的认识。在这本书里，卡尼曼提出了一个对传统经济学非常有颠覆性的观点，就是在很多情况下，人并不是理性的，偏见是人与生俱来的缺陷，常用的无意识的" 系统1" 依赖的是情感、记忆和经验，对事物迅速作出判断和抉择，但" 系统1"也很容易上当，它固守" 眼见即为事实" 的原则，任由损失厌恶和乐观偏见等“七罪宗”引导我们作出错误的选择，而且做决策的人还浑然不知。《思考，快与慢》可以用来指导我们的生活的方方面面。
第一种情况，是对随机事件进行因果关系解释。比如二战期间，德国发射 V 型火箭袭击伦敦，伦敦人发现，在不同地区，爆炸点不一样。很多人相信，在没有爆炸的地点一定藏着德国的间谍。但是严谨的统计分析显示，爆炸点的分布只是典型的随机事件。
